Easter Holiday Club Recap

And just like that the Easter holidays are over!

We’ve had an awesome time at our Holiday Camps this April. Whether your child spent a day with us or the whole 2 weeks, we hope they walked away with a smile on their face with lots to say.

However, we know that some children can be forgetful and when asking them what they’ve done they say they’ve forgotten. So, we thought we’d give you a recap of some of our highlights from this week!

Lets Take A Trip Down Memory Lane

1. Our sports activities went down a treat

We pushed the boundaries this Easter by introducing new ways to play sports. We wanted children to be able to use their imagination while playing sports and still have just as much fun, if not more! Introducing noodle hockey, foot tennis, balloon volleyball and other innovative activities that the children loved.

2. We did lots of fun activities in stage

Stage activities always go down amazingly with fun and creative sessions in dance, drama and gymnastics. There were lots of known favourites with some being: fashion show disaster, cheer pom routine, gymnastic beam routine and the famous Wednesday dance at Sale.

3. There was lots of spring themed solve activities

We’re sure that you all went home with some great art work over Easter that took prime spot on the fridge. There were some beautiful sunflowers, easter chicks and finger paintings and who knows, there could be some mini picassos in the making! Not forgetting our fun solve problem solving games that got big teams working together.

4. Laughter filled the room

There’s never a dull moment at our school holiday clubs, whether it’s the coaches making the children laugh or vice versa. We never went away without a smile on our face.

5. We tried new things

Trying new things can be a bit daunting at times. We saw lots of children who were nervous at the start of the day come out of their shell and have lots of fun with new friends. We too tried new things this Easter, running for the first time at our venue in Sale, introducing new activities and new members of staff working at our camps for the first time.

6. Lots of friendships were made

At the end of each day we ask the children if they’ve made a new friend and who it was. It always puts a smile on our faces to see most of the children have made a new friend whilst at our holiday camps.

And none of us wanted it to end…

We hope that we’ve helped to join the dots as to why your child came home with a massive smile on their face. From all of us here at Rocket we hope that your child had an amazing time and hope to see you very soon!
